Jim Spilsbury, PhD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. He holds a PhD in Anthropology from CWRU and an MPH in Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Spilsbury’s research interests involve studying the effects of social and cultural settings on child health and development. He has conducted research on the influence of home and neighborhood environments on child sleep, as well as the effects of neighborhood conditions on child maltreatment.
